Project Tracker — the dashboard that replaced Tableau
The problem
At Daymon International, project data lived in Smartsheet and the charts lived in Tableau. That meant a license for every viewer, refreshing by hand, and no way to control who sees which client's data.
What I built
An in-house web app that loads the project data from Smartsheet automatically every week and shows it as charts and filters, with role-based access and single sign-on. I designed and built it alone, and I now maintain it and add new data sources.
Result
Project Tracker replaced Tableau for these reports and cut the BI license bill. Project teams see one view per client, management sees all of them, and access follows each person's role. It is used by project teams serving live retail clients.
